13//✨ Preparation Are Going On

The whole palace is being decorated for the upcoming wedding of Shivansh and Jivika. Every workers are trying their best because they want to get praised by their King and Queen.

It's been already a week since the family priest have informed about the wedding date. So, there isn't much time left to do all the preparations. Also, the guests will be arriving in a few days for the wedding.

However, today someone very special is returning to the palace and that's none other than Geetanjali Singh Rathore, Shivansh's Bua. She has gone to Delhi to attend some fashion shows as judge. She is a big name in the fashion industry, not only in India but in the whole world. But today she is returning to after getting the news of her nephew getting married in a two weeks.

"Ritika, do you think we should invite Jivika's Dadi and Bua?" Raghuvendra asks.

"No way, Dadaji. Those witches will not accept Jivika's second marriage and also they only know how to diminish her by saying cruel things. So, it's better if we forget about their existence." Ritika replies.

"Although you're correct but I am thinking about what Jivika might be thinking. She may also wants her family to be with her." Raghuvendra says with a sigh.

"I know you're comcern for her but believe me she doesn't need them. And about her family, we are already here so we will be doing all the rituals from her side as well." Ritika replies while her grandfather looks at her with adoration.

"Okay as you say, Princess." Raghuvendra replies and gets up from the chair not before petting his granddaughter's head lovingly.

When he arrives in his room, he finds Jivika there who is arranging his closet. He smiles looking at his soon-to-be granddaughter-in-law and sits down on the bed as he can't stand for longer time because of arthritis.

"Jivika beta, there are so many maids available in the palace. They can arrange my clothes, you don't have to do that." Raghuvendra says.

"I love doing household work, Dadaji. Also everyone is very busy in the preparations of the wedding so I thought to arrange your clothes to help them." Jivika replies putting the last folded cloth inside the closet and then click the door shut. She then walks near the bed and looks at the older man who has become more of a friend than a grandfather.

"Here is your candies." Jivika hands a few homemade candies to Raghuvendra who takes them like an excited child.

"That's why you're my favourite." Raghuvendra remarks putting a candy inside his mouth and does a happy dance making Jivika giggle.

"But don't have more than three in a day or I will stop making them for you." Jivika warns looking stern while Raghuvendra nods his head like an obedient child.

"Jivu, you shouldn't give candies to Papaji. He has diabetic." Radhika says coming into the room.

"Chachi, these candies are made of date fruit which can be consumed by Dadaji. I have asked Ritika to search about it and only then I have made them." Jivika replies as she knows sugar is a complete no for Raghuvendra.

"Awe, humari pyari gudiya." Radhika says kissing Jivika on the forehead.

(Awe, my lovely doll)

"Pyari to he humari honewali pota bahu. Dekho na kitne achche se humare kapre samete rakha hein." Raghvendra remarks proudly making Jivika blush.

(Yes, my granddaughter-in-law is lovely. Look how nicely she has arranged my clothes)

However, before their conversation can go on a maid come there to inform about the arrival of Geetanjali Singh Rathore. Raghuvendra along with Radhika and Jivika walks out of the room to welcome the elder Princess of the family.

When they reach the entrance of the palace, Geetanjali is already standing there while Aaradhya is doing her aarti. After the aarti is done, Geetanjali hugs her Badi Bhabhi tightly and then makes her way towards her father.

"Kaise he aap, Papa?" Geetanjali asks her father.

(How are you, Papa?)

"Hum achche he, aap batao aapka safar kaisa raha?" Raghuvendra replies with a smile.

(I am good, you tell me how's your journey?)

"Safar bohut achcha tha lekin bishram karne ka samay nahi he humare paas. Humare bhatije ki shaadi he, bhabhiyoe ko akele taiyari karne nahi denge hum." Geetanjali replies making everyone laugh knowing her bubbly nature.

(Journey was good but I don't have time to rest. My nephew is getting married and I can't let my sister-in-laws to do all the works.)

"Now, that you have come back we will start the shopping for all the necessary clothes for the wedding. Because no one knows better than you about modern fashion mixed with our customs." Radhika says hugging Geetanjali.

"I have already selected a lot of designs. I will show them to you after lunch." Geetanjali replies smiling brightly. Just then she notices the beautiful girl standing beside her Chhoti Bhabhi.

"Who is she?" Geetanjali asks out of curiosity.

"Namaste, mera naam Jivika Rao hain." Jivika introduces herself while joining her palms while bowing her head a little.

(Greetings, my name is Jivika Rao.)

"So you're the one with whom my nephew is getting married?" Geetanjali asks in a serious tone making Jivika nervous.

"Y-Yess." Jivika replies with a slight stutter.

Geetanjali doesn't say anything for sometime which makes everyone present there a little worried thinking she may not happy with the decision after seeing Jivika. But all their worries vanish when she starts laughing loudly making everyone realise she is just playing around.

"You don't have to be so scared, bachcha. I am not like those scary aunties who only know how to create dramas. I am very happy to meet you and believe me I am saying this from the bottom of my heart." Geetanjali says kissing the crown of Jivika's head who mumbles 'thank you' in response.

Shivansh is busy going through the presentation which his company will submit for their next project. He is so engrossed in his work that he hasn't heard the sound of door opening of his cabin.

When someone sit across from him, only then he notices the person and roll his eyes seeing the sily smile on his best friend Adwait's face.

Adwait Singhania is one of the biggest businessmen in India who runs his own billion dollar company. He doesn't have anyone to call his family as he was left in the orphanage when he was only 3 years old. But he considers Shivansh's family as his own who thinks the same.

"What are you doing here? If I am not wrong you have an important meeting to attend today." Shivansh comments not taking off his eyes from the presentation displaying on his laptop.

"A little birdie told me that finally the great King Shivansh Singh Rathore is getting married." Adwait replies with a teasing smile.

"And may I know who is this little birdie?" Shivansh asks raising a brow.

"That's for me to know. You just confirm if it's true or not." Adwait replies stubbornly.

"Hmm, I am getting married in two weeks." Shivansh replies closing his laptop knowing well no work will be done in the presence of this hrown up child knows as his annoying best friend.

"Wow, great, perfect. So, my best friend is getting married in just two weeks and he didn't even inform me about this matter beforehand. I am going to cry a river." Adwait says with fake crying face.

"Shut up idiot. Will you please stop with your drama?" Shivansh asks getting annoyed.

"Nope till you let me meet the lucky girl who is going to be my Bhabhi." Adwait replies crossing his hands in front of his chest.

"Man, she is too small to be called Bhabhi. She is only 19 years old." Shivansh says.

"The fuck! You're literally marrying someone who is so younger compare to you." Adwait replies getting up in shock.

"Put your ass down and don't have to remind me about the agegap. I am already aware of that." Shivansh remarks rubbing his temple feeling a headache growing up.

"Then why did you accept to marry her?" Adwait asks this time with confusion laced in his tone.

So Shivansh starts narrating everything that has happened in this one month. From Ritika bringing Jivika home to fulfilling the wish of Dadaji, he describes every details including Jivika being a widow.

"Can you tell your secretary to bring a masala tea for me?" That's the first thing Adwait says after hearing everything.

"You're such a weirdo. I told you so many things and without responding to that, you are asking for a fucking masala tea." Shivansh grumbles but still orders his secretary to bring the tea.

"Bro, I need the masala tea to cure my brain freeze after hearing everything." Adwait replies shrugging his shoulders making Shivansh think if this man really works in the Mafia or not.

Miss Tara arrives with the tea and leaves soon because she doesn't want to intervene between the two friends, not that she is needed there.

"If she is just 19 years old and a widow, then at what age did she get married?" Adwait questions and that perks up Shivansh's interest.

"Actually I don't know about that and I don't think anyone in the family know as well. Because I am sure if Ritika knew about this she would have told us already." Shivansh replies looking at his best friend.

"Have you ever thought about asking her about it?" Adwait asks now genuinely feeling concern for the girl whom he hasn't met yet.

"I haven't but I think I should." Shivansh replies.

"But don't do it now. Look I don't know how much excited she is for the wedding but whatever you just told me, I think she deserves a little happiness. So, if you ask about her first marriage she may not like it. Just let the marriage happen and then you can ask her everything bit by bit." Adwait suggests.

"From when have you turned so wise?" Shivansh asks looking at his best friend with wide eyes.

"I have always been wise, you just never noticed." Adwait replies sassily.
