Jivika is cooking dinner as this is something she likes to do and no one tries to stop her anymore. Because they know she wants to helpful so they let her do whatever her heart desires.
The head cook is also present in the kitchen who is helping Jivika by showing her how to use the mixer grinder as she doesn't have any idea about all these fancy machines. But she is a quick learner so it doesn't take her much time to learn something new.
After the dinner is done, Jivika tells the cook to arrange the table as everyone will be downstairs soon for dinner. She herself goes to her room to get changed as she has mistakenly dropped some oil on her salwar. So, she quickly changes into a different pair of clothes after washing her hands and face to get rid of the sweat.
"Jivika, are you in the washroom?" Jivika hears someone asking from outside the closet door which is attached to the washroom. So, she quickly comes out to see that Geetanjali Bua is standing with a box on her hands.
"Buaji, why are you standing there? Come on, sit here." Jivika says pointing towards the bed.
"You also come and sit beside me." Geetanjali says petting the side of the bed after she sits down.
Jivika without asking any question complies with what she is told to do. Geetanjali then puts the box that she has been holding on Jivika's hands who looks at the older woman in question.
"In our family, the bride's first jewellery is given by her mother. I have heard from Ritu about your mother as well as your Dadi and Bua so I know you don't have anyone from your side to do any rituals of marriage. Actually, Badi Bhabhi was going to do this ritual but I told her that I want to perform this ritual in your mother's place. This box contains the jewelleries I want you to wear on your wedding." Geetanjali says caressing Jivika's head gently who gulps the lump forming inside her throat.
"Can I call you Bua Maa?" Jivika asks after sometime. But her question brings tears in Geetanjali's eyes who doesn't have any kids of her own.
"I will be blessed to hear you call me Bua Maa." Geetanjali replies taking Jivika in her arms.
After sometime both pulls away from the hug and Geetanjali asks Jivika to open the box. Upon opening the box, a gasp leaves Jivika's lips seeing the expensive yet elegant jewelries inside.
"Bua Maa they must have cost you a lot of money, right?" Jivika asks without blinking her eyes.
"You don't have to worry about that. You just tell me if you like them or not. If not then I will buy different jewelries for you." Geetanjali replies to which Jivika quickly nods her head.
"No, no you don't have to anymore jewelries. They're already too much for a girl like me." Jivika says but Geetanjali doesn't like the last sentence a bit. So, she takes the box and keeps it on bed.
"Now tell me, what's with this a girl like you? Since I came back two days ago I have heard you calling yourself worthless without saying the exact word. But your actions are enough for me to know what you think about yourself. Look I know you don't have proper education, or you don't know about modern cultures. But it doesn't mean that you can't learn them. Learning can be done at any age and you have got your whole life to do that. Before anyone loving you, respecting you, you need to love yourself, respect yourself. Because we have to accept ourselves with our ups and downs, only then we should think about others. Dear, you should not think so low about you and I really don't like it when you disrespect yourself. You're going to the Queen of Rajasthan and remember a Queen shouldn't bow down to anyone. A Queen is meant to show others how to live their lives with holding their heads high." Geetanjali says looking sternly at Jivika who realises her mistake and nods her head in response.
"I am sorry, Bua Maa. From now on, I will never say anything bad about myself." Jivika replies holding her ears making Geetanjali smiles at the innocent girl in front of her.
"Now, lets go and have dinner. Tomorrow we will be going for shopping." Geetanjali remarks getting up from the bed. Jivika also gets up and both of them walks out of the room.
👑
One week has passed since Geetanjali has arrived in the palace and the shopping for the wedding have started. All the gents are given the duty of looking after the outdoor activities while the ladies are busy with their indoor activities.
However, Shivansh is the only one who is showing least interest in any preparation. He is like usual keep himself busy with his work because for him this is his main priority.
While Jivika is enjoying all the pampering she is getting from everyone. So, she isn't minding her soon-to-be husband's lack of presence. It's not like he is marrying her willingly, he is just getting married to fulfill his grandfather's wish and that's what Jivika believes.
"How are you ladies doing?" Adwait asks walking into the botique where the ladies of the Rathore family have come to buy wedding lehenga for Jivika.
"Stop asking about us. You tell me what are you doing here?" Ritika asks narrowing her eyes.
"Ouch you have hurt me, Tweety." Adwait replies dramatically holding his chest as if he is in pain.
"Shut up, you Scooby-Doo." Ritika snaps glaring at Adwait.
"Why are they calling them with weird names, Chachi?" Jivika whispers in Radhika's ear.
"Jivu, both were obsessed with different cartoons in their childhood and they used to fight over which cartoon character is more cool. In the end, they started to call themselves with those names and till now they haven't changed a bit." Radhika replies looking at the two big babies with a done face.
"If you guys are done then shall we start the shopping?" Shivansh asks from the entrance of the boutique making everyone's eyes snaps towards him in shock except Adwait with whom he has come.
"But you said you have an important presentation to present today and you can't come." Aaradhya remarks can't believing that her son has really come for the shopping.
"This monkey didn't let me do the presentation and made me come here." Shivansh replies scowling at his best friend with is looking at him with an innocent smile as if he doesn't know anything in the world.
"So what? It's your wedding too so you should be present here while your bride select her wedding lehenga. Right, Buaji?" Adwait asks looking at Geetanjali for support.
"Adwait is absolutely correct. I am with him in this matter." Geetanjali replies standing beside Adwait who winks at her making her grin from ear to ear.
"Fine but I am here for only an hour. So, select whatever you have to." Shivansh replies with a defeated face knowing he can't go against his elders.
"But first introduce me to your soon-to-be wife." Adwait remarks stubbornly.
"Jivika.." Shivansh calls out making the girl to walks near him.
"Yes?" Jivika asks not making eye contact with Shivansh.
"Jivika, here meet my best friend Adwait Singhania and Adwait, she is Jivika Rao with whom I am getting married." Shivansh introduces both.
"Best friend like me and Riti?" Jivika asks with excitement looking at Adwait who chuckles seeing the adorable girl in front of him.
"Yes, just like you and your Riti. By the way, I am very happy to finally meet you. This grumpy here wasn't letting me meet you." Adwait replies pointing towards Shivansh who has a constant frown on his face.
"Now that you have met me you can come to the palace anytime you want, Bhaiya." Jivika replies without noticing what she has called Adwait.
But Adwait does and it will be a lie if his heart hasn't filled with immense protection for the small girl standing in front of him. By hearing her calling him bhaiya is something he has never thought anyone will do. So, he vows in his heart to protect this little sister of his with his life.
"I will definitely come to the palace to meet my sister." Adwait replies with a seriousness in his tone which doesn't go unnoticed by Shivansh. Because it's not everyday you see Adwait Singhania to behave seriously.
Finally, the hunt for the wedding lehenga starts and the designer make Jivika tries a maroon colour lehenga first which gets rejected by Ritika saying the design is not good. Then Jivika tries a shimmery pink lehenga which gets cancelled by Geetanjali who says the look is not going well with Jivika's baby like face.
Jivika tries a lot of lehenga afterwards but every single one gets rejected by one of the family members. Till now, Shivansh is the only one who hasn't said anything because he is busy scrolling through his phone. But it doesn't mean he isn't taking small peeks whenever Jivika tries a new lehenga.
Suddenly, he can't take off his eyes from Jivika when she comes out of the changing room wearing a deep red colour lehenga. The designs, the colour everything is looking so royal that it feels like it's made for her, made for a queen.
Jivika makes eye contact with Shivansh silently asking if this one looks good. In response Shivansh simply blinks his eyelids not having any description of how beautiful Jivika is looking wearing the lehenga.
A smile blooms on Jivika's face seeing her would-be husband's response because frankly speaking, she herself likes lehenga the most. But she was worried if this one also would be rejected.
"I want to wear this one." Jivika says catching everyone's attention.
"Of course, you will be wearing this lehenga on your wedding day. Because this one is the most beautiful lehenga we have seen so far, right everyone?" Aaradhya asks looking at everyone who nods their heads in agreement.
"Ragini, we will be taking this lehenga. Kindly take Jivika's measurements and then complete all the necessary fittings." Geetanjali orders as she knows the designer personally.
"But I will be paying for the lehenga." Adwait says surprising everyone.
"Why beta? I mean we are buying everything." Aaradhya asks with confusion.
"Aunty, Jivika has called my bhaiya and being an elder brother I want to do something for her. So, let me buy the lehenga for her special day." Adwait requests to which everyone smile.
"Then I will not come between a brother and his sister. You can do whatever you want for your sister's wedding." Aaradhya replies happily while Jivika looks at Adwait with teary smile.
