18//✨First Night Together

Like usual Jivika gets confused seeing so many options in the menu card which is placed on the table where she is sitting along with her husband and some other family members. She releases a tired sigh but doesn't say anything to anyone.

On the other hand, Shivansh can feel his newly wedded wife is in dilemma looking at the menu card. So, being a gentleman he takes the card in his hand and orders the waiter what to bring for his wife as well as for him.

Everyone is busy chatting among themselves to notice what's going on. But Kavyansh has seen the silent conversation between his brother and sister-in-law. He has noticed how these two doesn't need to talk to each other, they somehow understand what the other needs. He too decides not to comment anything because he is happy to see that the newly weds have their own way of conversation between them.

Finally the waiter comes back with the food and seeing her favourite items on the plate Jivika's face lit up in happiness. Especially seeing the Dal Baati Churma which has become an extremely favourite food items of her after coming to the palace.

"Stop staring at the food and start eating or it will get cold." Shivansh says to Jivika who nods her head while giving him a sheepish smile.

Just as they're done eating food, Ritika walks towards them followed by Eklavya and some of their cousins. Shivansh quirks an eyebrow at his sister who is looking at him with an innocent smile but he knows her well to be a fool to believe her Innocent smile.

Suddenly, Eklavya bends down and takes off Shivansh's shoes before Shivansh can realise what's going on.

"What are you doing, Eklavya? Return my shoes immediately." Shivansh orders but Eklavya hides behind Ritika knowing his sister will handle the matter without any trouble.

"That's not gonna happen before you fulfill our demands." Ritika says folding her hands across her chest.

"What demands are you talking about?" Shivansh asks getting irritated.

"If you want your shoes back then you have to give us money in return." Eklavya replies quickly before he again hides behind his sister.

"Shivansh won't give you a penny." Adwait says standing beside where Shivansh and Jivika is sitting.

"Adwait Bhaiya, aap to ladki waloe ke side pe the na?" Eklavya asks being confused seeing Adwait on Shivansh's side.

(Adwait Bhaiya, you were on the bride's side right?)

"Ha tha par main ab ladke waloe ke side mein aa gaya hoon." Adwait replies shrugging his shoulders.

(Yes but now I have come to the groom's side.)

"How can you change your side suddenly?" Ritika asks angrily.

"Just like you have changed sides from being on the groom's side to the bride's side." Adwait replies smirking at Ritika who glares at him in response.

"I am Jivika's best friend so it's my right to be on her side." Ritika remarks still glaring at Adwait.

"Same way it's my right to be on Shivansh's side as I am his best friend." Adwait retorts and this time Ritika doesn't have any come back with words.

"What? You don't have anymore questions to fire?" Adwait asks looking at her with a pout which soon turns into a smug smile.

"Now, return the shoes of the groom because you won't be getting any money in return." Adwait says putting his right hand in front Eklavya who looks at his sister who shakes her head in response.

"No way we are giving back the shoes without getting money." Ritika replies firmly and slap Adwait's hand away before looking at Jivika already knowing that now only she is the only one who can help them get money.

"Jivi, look they're not giving us the money which is basically a shagun. Tell your husband to fulfill our demands, pretty please." Jivika gulps hearing Ritika's words and then looks at her husband who has a scowl on his face. She then looks at Adwait who shakes his head eagerly. Finally, she looks at Kavyansh for help who smiles at her before nodding his head in response.

"Shivansh Ji, please give them the money they're asking for." Jivika mumbles softly which doesn't go unheard by her husband who sighs knowing he can't deny her request.

"How much do you want?" Shivansh asks with the permanent scowl on his face looking at his cousins who are smiling from ear to ear.

"Not much, just give us 10 lakhs one rupee in exchange of your shoes." Ritika replies clapping her hands.

"What do you mean not much? 10 lakhs is not much for you?" Adwait asks looking at Ritika like she has lost her mind somewhere.

"It's not much for Shivansh Bhaiya, you idiot. It won't even put a dent in his bank balance." Ritika remarks looking at her big brother who rolls his eyes and then take out his wallet from his sherwani's pocket. He then takes out one of his Black Cards and hands it to Ritika who cheers along with others being successful in getting their demand fulfilled.

"But not even an extra penny should be taken than the amount you have demanded." Shivansh threatens.

"Of course not, Bhaiya. We are really good girls and boys." Ritika replies smiling brightly at her brother and best friend before looking at Adwait with a smirk.

All the post-wedding rituals are done and in every game Jivika is the one to win. Although many times she was going to lose but Shivansh lost the games by himself making Jivika the winner.

Right now, Jivika is being lead towards Shivansh's room where she will be staying from tonight. Aaradhya and Radhika are accompanying her there. Soon they stop in front of a huge door. Aaradhya opens the door and walks inside holding Jivika's hand in her.

"Jivu, from today onwards you're going to stay here. This used to be Shivansh's room but from today onwards it's your room as well." Aaradhya says looking at her daughter-in-law who nods her head while is staring at the floor.

"We have arranged your clothes in the closet. So, you should change into something else because I am sure you're feeling tired after doing so many rituals." Radhika says and again Jivika only nods her head in response.

Aaradhya and Radhika both looks at each other knowing how a girl feel right after her marriage. Because they have already gone through this feeling years ago. So, without further talking they tell her to rest and leave from there.

When Jivika hears the sounds of fading footsteps she looks at the door to see that it's closed from outside. A sigh leave past her lips wanting to sleep because of tiredness. She has never thought that marrige can be this tiresome.

She looks around her new room which can be described as an apartment. The room is divided into two sections in which one looks like a living room with big couches, chandelier dangling from the ceiling, paintings on the walls. While the other one where a huge king size bed is placed in the middle. The left side of the room leads to the walk-in-closet with the attached washroom.

She then decides to take off the heavy lehenga but before that she has to take off the jewelries which are a lot. So, she sits down on the bed and starts taking off the jewelries one by one. Halfway through, she hears the door opening but she doesn't need to look to know who has come inside because of the too familiar smell of cologne which is used by none other than her husband.

"Do you need some help?" Shivansh asks looking at his wife who seems to having trouble taking off her mangtika which has gotten tangled in her hair.

"Yes, please." Jivika replies looking helplessly at her husband who smiles at her cuteness.

Shivansh very gently detangles the hair strands from the mangtika and then take it off. He then takes out the hairpins from the heavy bun on his wife's head and free her long voluminous hair.

"Go to the closet and change your clothes." Shivansh mumbles gently to which Jivika nods her head and walks inside the closet.

On the other hand, Shivansh takes deep breaths to control himself because if he doesn't then he will surely do something which he will regret later. This is the first time for him to be so close to a female and not only that he can't stop thinking about tonight being their wedding night. But he also knows at what circumstances the marriage has happened so both him and Jivika needs to learn about each other before going any further. They need to build this relationship with care and love, not with lust. So, he will keep himself in control and try to be a perfect husband for his wife first before anything else.

"You also go and change your clothes." He hears his wife's voice so he looks at her to see that she is now wearing a simple blue colour salwar suit with no makeup on her face. Only a small bindi between her eyebrows and the sindoor on her hairline is present on her bare face. Still, she manages to look like a goddess who doesn't need any makeup to look beautiful.

"I know you must be tired after everything so you should sleep now." Shivansh says getting up from the bed where he was sitting before.

"No, I will wait for you to get changed." Jivika replies fumbling with her fingers.

Shivansh doesn't reply and walks inside the closet to get a different set of clothes for him.

Jivika looks at the bed and bites her lips thinking about sharing it with her husband. Not only that, she hasn't forgotten about tonight being their wedding night. But she isn't ready for any intimacy. Truth to be told, she doesn't even know properly what people do on their wedding night. She just knows bits and bites. So, everything is making her more nervous than usual.

"Why are you standing? Go into the bed and sleep on whichever side you prefer." Shivansh says coming out of the washroom while looking at his wife.

"Shivansh Ji, we won't be doing anything tonight right?" Jivika asks the question that is going through her mind.

Shivansh now understands why Jivika is looking so tensed. Although he badly wants to tease her but refrain himself from doing that knowing how sensitive she can be.

"First tell me on which side do you like to sleep on the bed?" Shivansh asks gently.

"On the left side." Jivika replies not understanding why her husband is asking this question.

Shivansh then walks towards the right side of the bed and pet on the left side looking at Jivika who understands what her husband wants. So, she timidly makes her way towards the left side of the bed and sits there.

"Now the answer of your question is that, no we won't be doing anything tonight. I want to be frank with you. Although we are married now but we still don't know much about eachother. Also, it's not written anywhere that the newly wedded couple have to be intimate on their wedding night. So, you don't have to worry about that and sleep without any tension. Tomorrow you'll have to get up early to perform the morning aarti as the new daughter-in-law of the family." Shivansh says petting the crown of Jivika's head softly who smiles at her husband and then slides into a sleeping position.

Shivansh too puts his head on the pillow and keeps caressing his wife's head who has closed her eyes. In a few minutes both of them drifts into their own dreamland in sleep.
