20//✨ His Gift For Her

After the breakfast Jivika helps Raghuvendra to walks into his room. Actually the main reason for her to go with her grandfather-in-law because the old man will ask for candies from his granddaughter-in-law who also knows what's going to happen next.

After Raghuvendra sits down on his bed, he open his empty palm in front of Jivika who shakes her head with a giggle before putting a few candies there.

"Now are you happy, Dadaji?" Jivika asks looking at the big baby in front of her.

"Of course I am super happy." Raghuvendra replies savoring the tasty homemade candy.

"Okay then you take rest. I will come to take you when it's time for lunch." Jivika says to which Raghuvendra nods his head like an obedient child.

Jivika leaves the room and then goes back to the kitchen where she noticed that her mother-in-law is making tea.

"Maa, for whom are you making tea at this time?" Jivika asks walking towards Aaradhya who smiles hearing her daughter-in-law calling her Maa.

"Kavyansh is having headache and this herbal tea always helps him to feel better." Aaradhya replies putting the tea on a cup.

"Should I take the tea to Bhaiya's room?" Jivika asks getting worried for her elder brother-in-law.

"Sure beta, here take it." Aaradhya replies giving the tray to Jivika who smiles at her mother-in-law and then walks out of the kitchen to go to Kavyansh's room.

However, when she arrives in his room she notices he is looking at a small photo frame. But upon seeing her, he hides the frame under the pillow of his bed.

"Bhaiya, Maa has sent this tea for you." Jivika says putting the tea cup on the nightstand.

"Thank you, bachcha." Kavyansh replies taking the tea cup in his hands and then takes a few sips of the tea.

Jivika looks around the room and instantly feels like she has entered into a dream world. Because the room is filled with various kinds of painting of Gods and Goddesses.

"Bhaiya, who made these paintings?" Jivika asks looking awestruck by the beauty of the paintings.

"I have made them. Do you like them?" Kavyansh asks getting up from the bed.

"Yes, they're so good. Although I don't know much about painting but looking at these beautiful creations I can't take off my eyes." Jivika replies totally impressed.

"That's something I like to do in my free time after I am done with my writings." Kavyansh replies picking up an unfinished canvas in his hands.

"Bhaiya, you're a writer also as well as painter?" Jivika can't help but asks.

"I am a full-time writer but painting is something I do for my happiness. This is not something I like to sell." Kavyansh replies smiling at the curious girl.

"Wow, you're so talented. I can't even draw a flower without messing it up." Jivika says with a pout while Kavyansh chuckles feeling happy to have someone so innocent in the family.

"But if you want I can draw something for you." Kavyansh offers and instantly Jivika's face lit up.

"Can you draw a Ganpati Bappa's painting for me?" Jivika asks because she is a devotee of Ganpati.

"Of course I can do that. Just give me a few days and you'll get your painting in your hands." Kavyansh replies ruffling the hair of Jivika who beams at him.

Shivansh is pacing in his room biting his lips not having any idea how to give the gift he has brought for his wife. When everyone gave gifts to Jivika in the morning, he wanted to give his gift too. But something stopped him that time. Then he thought he would give the gift in their room but now again he is having second thoughts.

Suddenly he hears the sounds of footsteps coming near the room and he already knows that it's none other than Jivika. So, he clears his throat sometimes and straighten up as if nothing happened.

When Jivika enters the room, she notices that Shivansh is already present there. So, she thinks about thanking him for tasting the Kheer although he doesn't like sweet things.

"Shivansh Ji..." Jivika says standing in front of her husband who is scrolling through his phone pretending to be busy in something very serious.

"Hmm..." Shivansh replies not looking away from his phone.

"Thank you." Jivika says shyly fumbling with her fingers.

"But why are you thanking me?" Shivansh asks now giving his full attention to his wife.

"You don't like sweet things yet you tasted the Kheer. That's why I am thanking you." Jivika asnwers with a soft smile on her face while Shivansh's heart flutters because it's not even a big thing but for his wife as if it means the world.

"Didn't you feel bad when everyone gave you gifts but I didn't?" Shivansh asks looking at his wife who shakes her head.

"Anyone can give materialistic gifts but you have given me something which can't be comparable to anything." Jivika answers honestly.

"What is it?" Shivansh asks wanting to know her answer very eagerly.

"You have accepted me knowing how I am nothing compared to you. You're a King who has higher education, knowledge about everything while I am a mere widow from a village without much educational qualifications. Not only that you're trying to make me feel better by doing things which you don't like to do, example eating the Kheer this morning. I can make a long list but still the papers won't be enough for that." Jivika replies looking at the green orbs which has become a sense of protection for her. By looking at them she feels like nothing can harm her in this world.

While on the other hand, Shivansh feels like he has lost his control over his heart. It's beating too fast than usual but he doesn't want it to slow down. He likes the feeling of his loud heartbeat which only happens whenever Jivika is in front of him. He doesn't say anything in response, just takes out a rectangular box out of his pocket. He then takes Jivika's hand in his and makes her sit on the bed while he kneels in front of her.

"Why are you kneeling in front of me? Husband's shouldn't do this." Jivika protests getting panicked.

"A King only knows how to kneel in front of his Queen and a husband should do that too." Shivansh replies before openion the box which has a pair of beautiful diamonds anklets inside.

He puts Jivika's feet over his knees and takes off the heavy anklets she is wearing. He then secure the diamond anklets around her ankles and then bends down to kiss the middle of her feet.

Jivika gasps and tries to take her feet away but Shivansh's holds only gets tighten.

"Shivansh Ji you..." That's all can leave past Jivika's lips who is breathing heavily because this is something she hasn't felt before.

"I am just rewarding my wife for being herself. She doesn't need to be as qualified as me because she is more courageous than me. She has endured so much still she doesn't hold any grudge against anyone. She only knows how to give without having any wish to get something in return. I haven't met anyone selfless than her." Shivansh says looking directly at the hazel-brown orbs which has captured his attention like nothing else. He then gets up from his kneeling position and shows his hand to Jivika who puts her hand on his hand.

"Let's go, I want to show you something." Shivansh says while both walks inside the closet.

Jivika gets confused not understanding why they're going inside the closet. But soon her eyes widen when Shivansh opens a door which is hidden behind a shelf.

"This is another gift for you." Shivansh says just as both of them walks inside the secret room which is filled with various classical music instruments from Harmonium to Sitar.

"What am I going to do with them?" Jivika asks still in complete shock.

"Practice classical music which you had to stop because of your Dadi and Bua." Shivansh replies standing behind his wife who looks around the room with teary eyes.

"How do you know about this?" Jivika asks looking back at her husband because this is something she hasn't told anyone in the palace.

"Ritika has seen the harmonium in your village home so she asked the priest of the temple where you used to work. That priest told her that you used to sing Bhajan in the temple and also used to teach classical music to the kids of your village." Shivansh replies the information he has received from his sister who is the one to help him set-up this room for Jivika as a wedding gift.

Jivika doesn't know what good deeds she has committed for her to receive so much after coming into the palace. A loving family which she has always craved for, a lot of relations which she never thought of having and finally a caring husband who is fulfilling her unsaid wishes without her asking.

She turns around and wraps her hands around her husband's neck who gets shocked at first but then composes himself and holds her securely in his arms.

However, their beautiful moment gets broken when Jivika feels a sudden tug on her hair which makes her whimper in pain. When Shivansh notices that it's his watch where his wife's precious hair has gotten tangled, he tears off the watch in a go freeing the hair.

"Are you okay now?" Shivansh asks holding Jivika's face between his hands.

"Yes but you shouldn't have broken the watch. It must be very expensive, right?" Jivika asks innocently.

"No, it's costed only 2000 rupees. You don't have to worry about that." Shivansh replies completely lying because that watch costed him more than a few millions.

"Shivansh Ji, thank you so much for all the gifts. I like them a lot." Jivika says excitedly but then her lips turn into a pout.

"Now what happened?" Shivansh asks not liking the solemn look on his innocent wife's face.

"You gave me so many things but I didn't buy any gift for you. I am sorry I forgot but I will buy you a gift soon." Jivika replies although she only has a little money with her which she has saved from her earnings.

"You don't have to buy me any gift, Jivika. From now on you just concentrate on your music practice and then your studies which will start soon." Shivansh replies kissing Jivika softly on her forehead.

"But"- Shivansh puts his finger on Jivika's lips before she can starts arguing.

"No but for now. If you so want to give me a gift then promise me that you'll achieve all your dreams which you have wanted to." Shivansh says looking at his wife with a smile.

"Okay." Jivika replies half-heartedly because she still wants to buy something for Shivansh.

"Jivika..." This time Shivansh's tone is a little stern.

"Fine, I will listen to you." Jivika replies with a huff while Shivansh looks at her with amazement because day by day he is witnessing a completely new sides of her. But he isn't complaining because everything about her is refreshing for him.
