"Are you laughing on Varu?" Varenya asks Kavyansh while tears welling up in her eyes.

"No, never. I can never laugh on you." Kavyansh answers quickly remembering how his Lotus hates when anyone laugh at her.

"Okay, but tell this Uncle to give Varu chocolate. Varu is a good girl so Varu has been sitting here. But this Uncle is being bad." Varenya complaints pointing her finger at Adwait who opens his mouth to reply then close it knowing that Varenya isn't wrong either.

Kavyansh then looks at Adwait with a done face who gulps knowing the blunder he has created by himself. Adwait rubs the back of his head not knowing what to do. Because on serious note, he doesn't have any chocolate.

"Anu, you can't have any chocolate right now. You are hungry and when we are hungry, we should eat something healthy." Meghna says coming into the rescue noticing the dilemma on Adwait's face.

Hearing her Mamoni's words, Varenya nods her head while her face becomes sad which doesn't sit well with Kavyansh. He had always tried to make Varenya smiles in the past but now seeing her this sad, he isn't liking it at all.

"Varenya, you eat the Aloo Kabli Chaat prepared by your Mamoni first and then I will give you two chocolates." Kavyansh says making Varenya to smile while she claps her hands happily.

"Varu will get two chocolates?" Varenya asks to confirm while the smile is still present on her face.

"Of course you will get. You are such a good girl and good girls deserve reward." Kavyansh replies wanting to take his Lotus in his arms but he knows that it's not the correct time yet. She is talking to him despite him being a stranger for her is enough.

"Mamoni, please make the chaat. Make more so Varu will share with them too." Varenya tells Meghna pointing at Kavyansh and Adwait.

"Just give me sometime, okay? Till then you keep talking to them." Meghna says caressing Varenya's head with a soft smile and goes inside the kitchen which is only a room away.

Just as Meghna disappear from the sight, Varenya gets up from the chair and makes her way towards where Kavyansh and Adwait are sitting. She signals Kavyansh to scoot over who instantly complies with her. Varenya then sits beside Kavyansh and looks at him with a frown.

"What's your name, Mister?" Varenya asks tilting her head to the side.

"Uncle." Adwait replies before Kavyansh can say anything.

"Nooo! You look like an uncle. This Mister looks like a Prince." Varenya remarks scowling at Adwait who again wants to pull his hair in frustration. Because no one has ever made him this much frustrated before just and here this girl who is as same age as him is continuously pulling his legs without even knowing.

Meanwhile, Kavyansh sees a little hope when Varenya referred to him as Prince. Because in their initial dating days, she used to tease him by calling him Prince Charming.

"It's totally unfair of you to call me Uncle when I am younger than him." Adwait says pointing his finger at Kavyansh while Varenya holds the finger and twists it hard making Adwait to screams.

"The fu-" Kavyansh puts his hand over Adwait's mouth before he can curse in front of Varenya.

"The fun, Adwait." Kavyansh says with gritted teeth glaring at Adwait who nods his head quickly while showing his index finger which is being twisted by Varenya.

"Varenya, why did you twist his finger? See, he got hurt badly." Kavyansh says gently to Varenya who looks down while fumbling with her fingers.

"Varu is sorry, Uncle." Varenya tells Adwait in a sad tone who rolls his eyes but then pets Varenya on her head.

"It's alright. But you should stop calling me Uncle. I have a very nice name which is Adwait. So, call me with the name." Adwait says smiling sweetly hoping that now Varenya will listen to him. But in the next second his smile wipes of his face when she replies...

"Varu will call you Adi Uncle." Varenya replies smiling brightly as if she has solved a big puzzle.

Meanwhile, Kavyansh starts fake coughing to stop himself from laughing seeing the horrifying expression on Adwait's face.

"Stop calling me uncle. I have a name so use that." Adwait says glaring at Varenya.

"But you look like an uncle. So, Varu will call you Adi Uncle." Varenya argues back.

"No, you can't call me that. I am not even married yet you're making me feel like an old man." Adwait remarks just as Meghna arrives there holding a tray and by seeing her Mamoni, Varenya smiles but then pouts at Adwait.

"If you don't let Varu call you uncle then Varu won't eat food." Varenya declares folding her hands around her chest with a huff making Kavyansh and Adwait's eyes widen.

"Umm, please accept whatever she is saying or she won't eat the food. She is very stubborn with whatever she wants." Meghna tells Adwait while Kavyansh also gives him pleading looks.

"Fine, call me whatever you want." Adwait lets out with a defeated sigh making Varenya to cheers happily.

Varenya then gets up from the couch and sits on the chair where she was sitting before. Meghna then gives her a bowl of chaat and then puts the tray on the centre table.

"Please have these." Meghna requests Kavyansh and Adwait while motioning towards the tray where tea and Aloo Kabli Chaat is served.

Although none of them have any appetite but they don't want to disrespect food. So, both Kavyansh and Adwait takes the bowls in their hands while they start eating. By taking the first bite, Kavyansh's thorat feels getting dry as the memories of the past starts displaying in his mind.

Flashback Starts:

"I am feeling so tired today." 22 years old Kavyansh remarks plopping down on the bean bag of his room.

"Then eat this. It will give you enough stamina." 19 years old Varenya says putting a tiffin box on Kavyansh's lap.

"Hey! What's this?" Kavyansh asks getting excited because Varenya always brings delicious snacks for him whenever she comes to visit him in his flat.

"Aloo Kabli Chaat, one of the best yet healthy snacks of Bengalis. Although my Mamoni makes the best Chaat but I have learnt from her. So, it's taste good in my opinion." Varenya replies sitting in an indian style on the couch.

Kavyansh quickly opens the box and instantly his mouth waters. Also, he is so hungry that he starts eating the Chaat without even sharing with Varenya who throws a pen at him.

"Ouch! Lotus, it's hurt." Kavyansh says rubbing his arm where the pen hit him.

"I didn't throw the pen so that it could caress your skin, Mr. Prince Charming." Varenya remarks sarcastically.

"Why are you so cruel to your one and only boyfriend? Don't you see how other girls blush and gets shy while talking to their boyfriends? And here you are literally abusing me." Kavyansh says taking another bite of the Chaat.

"You're talking as if I have a team of boyfriends and I am a relationship expert to know everything. Then let me ask you something. Don't you see other boys making sure their girlfriends get to eat before them?" Varenya's retorts making Kavyansh to realise exactly what he has done. He then looks at the box in his hands to see that he has nearly finished the Chaat.

"Umm, Lotus. I know you love noodles so you wait here and I will cook noodles for you quickly." Kavyansh says getting up from the bean bag but Varenya glares at him making him sit again.

"I don't want anything. Just finish the food quickly and drop me home." Varenya replies glaring at Kavyansh as if daring him to say anything in response.

Flashback Ends

Kavyansh's chains of thoughts break when he feels a nudge on his arm to see that it's Adwait who is giving him concerning look. But he shakes his head in response silently assuring that he is alright.

"Anu, why don't you go to your room and watch cartoon on the TV? I have to do some big people talk with them." Meghna says after Varenya has finished eating.

Varenya looks hesitate because she really likes the new guests. But she is a good girl so she can't deny her Mamoni's words. So, half-heartedly she gets up from the chair and puts the bowl on the table. She then looks at Kavyansh and Adwait showing her pinky fingers to each of them.

"If you don't get Varu two chocolates then Varu will be katti with you." By saying this, Varenya walks out of there with a sad look on her face which makes Kavyansh and Adwait to feel bad.

"Bhaiya, I will go and get the chocolates. Till then, you talk to ma'am and let her know whatever she wants to know." Adwait tells Kavyansh who nods his head.

"It's still raining outside. You don't have to go out to bring chocolate for her. Anu will forget about it soon." Meghna says but Adwait shakes his head.

"No, ma'am. It's completely alright. I have a younger sister and Varenya is nothing more than a sister to me although she calls me Uncle. But I understand that it's only because of her psychological condition. You don't worry, I will be back shortly." Adwait replies remembering about Jivika who may not be his blood sister but their bond is more stronger than that.

Meghna feels touched by Adwait's words and gives him an umbrella because he will get wet till he reach the car. Adwait thanks her and leaves shortly after that.

Meghna closes the door after Adwait leaves and sits across from Kavyansh to learn more about him. She has realised that Kavyansh isn't lying about his relationship with Varenya. But seeing Varenya's current situation, she wants to confirm many things for the safety of Varenya.

"If you are from Rajasthan then how did you meet Anu?" Meghna asks Kavyansh.

"She was a transfer student in the same school where I used to studied as well. She was my junior so I had seen her in school many times. But then I changed school due to some personal reasons before I could complete my 12th standard." Kavyansh answers remembering the day when he learnt the biggest lie of his life. But he takes a deep breath not wanting to remember that day incident anymore.

"Anu's father worked as the senior surgeon in the MDM Hospital Jodhpur for three years. I also went there with them to look after the house and Anu because both of her parents were working persons." Meghna says remembering the old happy times.

"We met again in Banaras Hindu University when I went there for my master's and Varenya was doing MBBS. We met through common friends and then started dating each other without disclosing anything to our families. Both of us wanted to accomplish our goals and for that we hid our relationship. After completing master's I came back in Jodhpur in hope to open my own publishing company along with becoming a well-known novel writer and I made it happen successfully. In the meantime, Varenya too completed her MBBS and Internship. She was so happy that she passed Neet PG in a single attempt and I was happy too. Because I knew that just like I had fulfilled my dream, she was going to fulfill her dream too. But then just a few weeks later, everything changed. When we finally decided to disclose everything in front of my family, I got the news that she had died in the plane crash." Kavyansh says while tears blurs his vision. But he doesn't let his tears comes out this time.

"I didn't have any idea about you because just as you said, Anu never spoke about you in front of me. Maybe she told her parents before deciding to meet your family. But I was only a maid at their house, although they never made me feel like one. If I would have known about you then I would contacted you long ago." Meghna lets out feeling sad about what Kavyansh and Varenya has to go throughout all these years.

"You have done more than your capabilities. So, don't think that you have done anything wrong. Because it's you who have been keeping Varenya alive and healthy. But I would like to request you that I want to take Varenya with me. You also have to come with me because I know you don't have anyone beside her. Please don't say no to me." Kavyansh pleads while Meghna looks in some kind of dilemma.

"Will your family accept my Anu? She isn't normal anymore and doctor also don't know when she will get better. I don't want her to go somewhere where people won't accept her for her condition." Meghna says voicing out the main worry inside her.

"My family will accept her with open arms and especially my mother. When she can accept me then I am sure she will accept Varenya as well." Kavyansh replies confidently.

Although Meghna wants to ask what does Kavyansh mean by accepting him. But she decides to keep quiet for now. Because it feels like a difficult topic to discuss for Kavyansh.
