Nishtha walks inside the flat which she shares with another girl who only comes to the flat on weekends as she works as a flight attendant. So, Nishtha practically lives alone even after having a flatmate.
Nishtha puts her bag inside the cupboard and then takes out a pajama set to change out of her office attire. She makes her way inside the washroom and takes off her clothes before she stands under the shower. Feeling the cold water on her skin, she lets out a sigh of relief. Because after the whole day working this is what relaxes her the most. However, today she doesn't have much time in her hand so quickly completes taking the shower and walks out of the washroom wrapping a towel around her body.
After wearing the pajama, she wraps her wet hair using a claw clip as she will be entering the kitchen. This is something she has learnt from her mother which she admires and follows. She then walks out of her room and makes her way to the kitchen. She opens the fridge and takes out the Sai Bhaji that she had made in the morning before going to her office. It's one of her favourite Sindhi dishes that can be made easily and also takes less time to be prepared. After heating up the curry, she takes out the leftover rice and re-heats it too. Finally, she puts the rice and Sai Bhaji on a plate along with a little mango pickle on the side.
She goes back to her room and sits on the bed while switching on to her laptop to watch the next episode of her recent favourite k-drama. In between having dinner her phone starts ringing so she pauses the drama and picks up the call after noticing that her mother is calling.
"Hi, Mummy. How are you?" Nishtha asks.
"Doing as usual just the pain in my knees are getting a little worse. You tell me, have you had your dinner?" Divya Chandwani, Nishtha's mother asks from the other side of the phone.
"Yes, Mummy. I am having dinner while watching something on my laptop. By the way, where is Mishu?" Nishtha asks putting the empty plate on the table beside her bed and gets up to wash her hand in the washroom.
"She is sitting in front of me. Wait, let me switch into a video call. So, both of you can see each other." By saying this Divya switches into video call just as Nishtha sits on the bed.
Instantly a cute little girl appears on the screen who is wearing a pretty woolen frock while her long hairs are tied into two braids. She is not looking at the phone as she is fully concentrated in twisting the ears of the small teddy bear in her hands that is her favorite toy.
"Mishu..." Nishtha calls out softly making the little girl look at the phone screen and for a few seconds she doesn't react. But then a bright smile blooms on her face and instantly two dimples appear on her cheeks which makes her look more cute.
"Kaisi hai meri bachchi? Teddy ke saath khel rahi hai?" Nishtha asks looking at her precious daughter while Mishka waves the toy around showing that indeed she is playing.
(How is my baby? Is she playing with her teddy?)
Nishtha keeps on talking to her daughter for some more time while making funny faces making the little girl giggle. But that's all the sound she can make and that's enough for breaking Nishtha's heart. Yet, she never shows it on her face and keeps smiling because little Mishka only smiles or interacts with her.
"Tumhare Papa puchh rahe the ki tum yaha kab aa rahi ho. Woh unhe koi mila hai jo humara ghar ka achcha daam dene ko razi ho gaya hai. To keh rahe the ki agar tum ek bar aa jati yaha to tum bhi mil leti us insaan se aur phir hum sab Jodhpur mein hi aa jayenge rehne. Waise bhi Mishka tumhe bohut miss karti hai aur tum bhi to uske bina kitni taklif se rehti ho. To hum waha aa jayenge to tumhe yaha aana jana nahi karna padega." Divya says making Nishtha sighs who has already heard about her parents wanting to sell their house from her sister.
(Your father was asking when you will be coming here. He has found someone who has agreed to give a good amount to our house. He was saying that if you come here once then you would also meet that person and then we all will stay in Jodhpur. Anyway Mishka misses you a lot and you too live with so much pain without her. So if we go there then you won't have to come here.)
"Mummy, I know you and Papa only want the best for us. But is it really necessary to sell the house? I mean Papa has made it by his hard earned money. I think you both should think about your decision again." Nishtha replies because she really doesn't want her father to sell the house.
"We have made the decision after thinking about everything. Your father's shop doesn't make sales like before so it gets hard to handle all the expenses. Aarav's higher education, Jiya's wedding, Mishka's education and wedding, we have to think about everything. So, it's better to sell the house and save the money for the future." Divya says and this time Nishtha can't protest. Because that's how many middle class families think for the future. No matter how much you earn, it doesn't satisfy the various needs of life. Hence, by the end only savings come as the savior if you have any.
"Okay, I won't argue about this matter anymore. I will talk to Kavyansh's Sir about leave when he comes to the office." Nishtha replies.
After ten more minutes talking to her mother and daughter, Nishtha cuts the call and takes a deep breath. Because deep down she doesn't want her parents to come here as she knows that her father will keep telling her to get married again for the sake of Mishka's future. This is one thing where she isn't able to make her father understand that she doesn't want to get married anymore. She has already seen the horrors of a marriage so no way that she will be tied down to someone again.
Nishtha then decides to stop thinking about this matter and gets into work skipping to watch the drama. After working for two more hours she turns off the laptop and puts it on the other side of the bed. She gets up from the bed and picks up the plate from the table before walking out of her room. She quickly washes the plate and keeps it aside before she checks the main door as well as the windows one last time to see if she has locked everything properly or not. When she finds that everything is perfect she walks back into her room and lies down on the bed to sleep although she knows that it won't happen.

A few days later Samarth finally returns to India, and the first place he visits is the Rathore palace where Kavyansh lives with his large joint family. Everyone in the family welcomes Samarth warmly, but the elders scold him for not visiting for years. However, he gets surprised after meeting Kavyansh's girlfriend Varenya who has become a small kid. Not only that, she doesn't remember anyone other than her parents who are no longer alive.
Kavyansh introduces Samarth as the new teacher to Varenya and their five year old son Kiyansh. In return, Varenya starts calling Samarth as Teacher Uncle which everyone finds amusing as well as feels bad for Varenya's psychological condition.
Currently, Samarth and Kavyansh are sitting in Kavyansh's cabin waiting for the psychiatrist to arrive who will be handling Varenya's case. Because Varenya's condition won't be cured with therapy only so as per Samarth's suggestion, one of the best psychiatrists has been selected to handle the case.
"Bro, why is your PA so late to bring a cup of coffee? It's already been ten minutes since you told her to bring coffee." Samarth remarks looking annoyed.
"Sam, she has other works to do as well. So, be quiet and wait for some time." Kavyansh replies not looking away from the documents that he is analysing.
Samarth goes to complain but then the sound of knock is heard to which Kavyansh orders the person to enter. Soon enough, a very beautiful woman claded in a shiffon saree enters the cabin holding a steaming cup of coffee in one hand and an I-Pad in her other hand. Her simple yet classy look instantly catches Samarth's attention and for some reason he wants the woman to look at him for once.
"Mr. Ahuja, here is your coffee." The woman who is none other than Kavyansh's PA says in a professional tone putting the cup on the desk while not sparing a glance at Samarth which kinds of hurts his ego. Because he has always received attention from everyone so it's hard for him to digest the fact that someone is seriously ignoring him.
"Miss Chandwani, have you sent the email that I told you?" Kavyansh asks looking at his PA who hands him the I-Pad.
"Sir, I will send it after you re-check the email one more time." Nishtha replies with a blank face while a frown appears on Samarth's face. Because this is the first time that a girl is neglecting his presence. He is an extremely handsome guy which makes girls drool over him while he doesn't let a chance to go to flirt with any girl he finds attractive knowing well the effect he has on them.
"So, Miss Nishtha what took you so long to bring a cup of coffee? I mean I don't mind you taking extra time to do touch-ups before coming here to see a handsome guy like me present here." Samarth remarks leaning against the chair he is sitting while he takes a sip of the coffee. He is sure that now the woman won't be able to neglect his presence. But the next moment he gets proved wrong and that too very badly.
"I think you should try flirting with someone who is interested in you. Because I am not at all interested in you or your good looks, Mr. Ahuja." Nishtha replies making Samarth stunned while Kavyansh secretly records the scene in his phone as he is prepared for his PA's straight forward reply.
"Sir, I am going back to my cabin." Nishtha tells Kavyansh who nods his head and hands her the I-Pad.
"The hell is wrong with her? How can she neglect me, bro?" Samarth asks Kavyansh after Nishtha leaves from there.
"That's Nishtha Chandwani for you, my dear best friend. She is not like some other girls who faint over your looks. She is a hardworking woman who only focuses on her work nothing else." Kavyansh replies with a chuckle.
"I will see how much longer she can resist my charm." Samarth says with determination in his face while Kavyansh faces palms in response.
