Jivika and Nishtha arrives in the living room where most of the family members are already present along with some of the trusted employees from the companies. Just as Kavyansh has his own publishing house, same way his younger brother Shivansh looks after the family business while their cousin Ritika is the owner of her own law firm.
Upon seeing Nishtha, everyone welcome her with warm smile who reciprocate the smile. She sits beside Kavyansh's mother who is the Rajmata of Rajasthan and a very gentle person.
"How are you, Beta?" Aaradhya, Kavyansh's mother asks in a gentle tone.
"I am doing good. How are you?" Nishtha asks back as she puts her daughter properly on her lap.
"I am good too. By the way, your daughter is very pretty." Aaradhya says and slightly caresses Mishka's chubby cheeks who move away from the touch making Nishtha to give an apologetic smile to Aaradhya.
"It's alright. We are new for her and at this age many babies become fussy." Aaradhya remarks understanding Nishtha's dilemma.
"She is a little slower than most of the kids of her age. But hopefully she will get better soon." Nishtha replies caressing her daughter's head who is now busy playing with her own fingers.
"No, Varu doesn't want to wear any other dress. Varu will only wear this." Everyone gets startled when Varenya arrives there wearing a zebra onesie while Kavyansh is trying to make her understand that she should wear something else.
"But Lotus, everyone have worn pretty dress. So you should also wear a pretty dress." Kavyansh says trying to hold Varenya who quickly hides behind Shivansh who is standing beside his wife Jivika.
"Scary Man, tell Mister Prince to not disturb Varu." Varenya orders Shivansh who looks like he is holding back his laugh.
"Bhai, let her stay like this. She is looking cute for real." Shivansh tells Kavyansh who huffs but then decides to let Varenya do whatever she wants.
Suddenly, Varenya's eyes fall on Nishtha and instantly a frown appears on her face remembering their earlier meet. However, seeing the little girl on Nishtha's lap Varenya's curiosity sparks. So, she quickly rushes where Nishtha is sitting and sits beside her.
"A doll?" Varenya asks Nishtha pointing at Mishka who is still busy playing with her own fingers.
"No, she is my daughter and her name is Mishka." Nishtha replies smiling at her Boss's wife.
"But she looks like Doll so Varu will call her Doll." Varenya remarks as her tone is quite stubborn but Nishtha doesn't find it offensive because she understands Varenya's condition. Also, it's not like Varenya is calling Mishka with any bad name.
"Okay you can call her Doll." Nishtha replies making Varenya claps her hands happily which makes Mishka flinch by the sudden noise as her eyes gets teary while her lips starts trembling.
"Awe, it's alright Mishu. Shh, no need to cry Baby." Nishtha says while rubbing Mishka's back who is now hiding her face in her mother's chest.
"Is Doll sad with Varu?" Varenya asks looking guilty to which Nishtha shakes her head.
"She is not sad with you. She is just a little worried as she is seeing everyone for the first time." Nishtha replies politely knowing well that Varenya is very sensitive.
"Varu Tai, come with me. I have cooked something special for you. So, let's go and see if you like it or not." Jivika says making Varenya excited because she is a fan of Jivika's cooking. So, instantly Varenya gets up from the couch and holds Jivika's hand before they both leave from there.
Nishtha then starts talking with the family members and replies whenever they ask anything about Mishka's health. Although at first she was a little hesitant but the more she is talking the more comfortable she has started to feel around them.
Two maids then bring snacks and juice for everyone as the dinner will be served a little late. Nishtha skips the snacks and only picks up a glass of juice because she isn't mood to eat anything. But suddenly the glass falls from Nishtha's hands as Mishka tugs on her sleeves spilling a little juice on Nishtha's sleeves.
"Are you okay?" Pratap, Kavyansh's father asks looking worried.
"Yes, I am alright. Umm, I will go and wash my hand." Nishtha replies and gets up from the couch holding Mishka in her arms.
"Give her to me and you go wash your hand." Aaradhya says forwarding her hands to take Mishka who clings to her mother.
"Aunty, she won't go so let her stay with me. I can manage, don't worry." Nishtha replies while Aaradhya nods her head in response.
Nishtha then walks towards the washroom which is a little away and puts Mishka on the slab near the sink. Nishtha cleans off the juice from her hand and sleeve which makes Mishka giggles who loves the sound of running water. Nishtha smiles hearing her daughter's precious giggles and let the water run for a few more minutes before she shuts the tap.
"We shouldn't waste water." Nishtha tells her daughter who pouts not liking that her mother has stopped her from having fun.
"Don't make this face, Mishu. I am not going to fall in your tricks." Nishtha says as she dries the sleeve with a towel that is kept in the washroom.
Sometimes later when Nishtha is sure that the sleeve is dry enough, she picks up Mishka in her arms and walks back to the living room. But arriving there, a scowl appears on her face seeing the one person she hates, Dr. Samarth Ahuja aka Chamgadar.
On the other hand, Samarth's eyes lit up seeing Nishtha but mostly Mishka. Because this is the first time of him seeing the little girl from so close that it's getting hard for him to control himself from taking the little one in his arms. But as he has already assumed about her condition he keeps quiet so that he doesn't overwhelmed her.
"Nishtha, meet Samarth. He is Kavyansh's best friend and also a renowned psychologist." Radhika, Kavyansh's Chachi say introducing Samarth as she doesn't know that Samarth and Nishtha has already met before.
"Yes, I know. Actually I had met him when he came to visit Kavyansh Sir." Nishtha replies politely although all she wants to do is to scoff because for some reason the mention of Samarth irritates her.
"Oh that's great. By the way, do the little one won't eat this snacks or should I arrange something else for her?" Radhika asks looking worried for Mishka.
"She will directly have dinner. Actually, she is a picky eater so I don't think she wants to eat anything now. Because if she did then she would have put her fist inside her mouth which she does when she is hungry." Nishtha replies making Radhika and others to nod their heads in understanding.
"Beta, why don't you go and chat with Jivika? I am sure you'll feel bored with us old people." Aaradhya suggests.
"Who are you calling old, Aaradhya Ji? I am still in my prime." Pratap remarks feeling offended that his wife called him old.
"You are absolutely right. I should have remembered that our sons' and grandson are only mine. You are too young to be called father or grandfather." Aaradhya retorts making everyone laugh except her husband who grumble in response.
But again Mishka gets startled by the noise and this time she burst into loud cries making everyone worried. Nishtha gets up from the couch with Mishka in her arms and starts pacing back and forth to calm her down. But nothing seems to work as the cries of Mishka is getting louder.
Everyone present there feel really bad for the little one as unknowingly they have caused her distressed. But it's Samarth who is feeling like someone is stabbing his heart hearing the cries of his little princess Ishu. So, not seeing any other option he decides to take the matter in his hands.
"Mishu, shh calm down. Please listen to Mumma." Nishtha says while rubbing her daughter back hoping she will stop crying. But when the little one keeps on crying, Nishtha's eyes wells up as well.
"Let me help." Nishtha hears so looks at the source to see that Samarth is standing in front of her with forwarded hands.
"But she is crying." Nishtha says feeling vulnerable.
"That's why I am telling you to let me try to calm her." Samarth replies gently making Nishtha to nod her head hesitantly. She then untangles her Mishka's hands from her neck with a little difficulty and let Samarth takes Mishka in his arms.
As soon as Samarth holds Mishka in his arms, he feels a different kind emotion pass through him. But he doesn't know what's that, all he knows that no matter what he needs to protect his princess with his life. He then puts Mishka on his shoulders and with the sudden change of position, the little one gets quiet a little.
"Now, we are going to have a train ride. Choo-choo, choo-choo, choo-choo, choo-choo, choo-choo....." Samarth says while making the sound of train and starts running slowly while Mishka starts giggling happily totally distracted.
Meanwhile, everyone gets shocked. Especially Nishtha, because this is the first time she is seeing her daughter being so comfortable with someone other than her. Even with her mother and Jiya, Mishka doesn't behave like this. But with Samarth who is basically a stranger, Mishka is giggling happily.
"Okay, now I need to sit." Samarth says and sits on the couch while putting Mishka on his lap by facing him so that she can see him.
"Who is this pretty baby? Oh my God! The pretty baby is smiling so big." Samarth coos as Mishka tries to stand in his lap to which Samarth helps her and gets surprised when his princess pokes his dimples.
"Haww, you also have dimples." Samarth says poking Mishka's dimples who again giggles.
"Is this really happening?" Nishtha asks no one particular but as Kavyansh is standing beside her, he has heard her correctly.
"Sam is really great with kids. Actually, you can say that he has professional knowledge on handling kid's tantrums. So, whatever you are seeing is reality." Kavyansh replies making Nishtha to look at him.
"This is the first time I am seeing my daughter so happy with someone who isn't me. So, I don't know what to feel." Nishtha says looking back at Samarth who is now making silly faces at Mishka.
